MAMA JAZ is in love! Samuel Laval (27) is of a new era of Mauritian creative musicians expressing through jazz forms and has long since appearing on the scene made his mark, studying patiently under José Thérèse, Ernest Wiehe and Philippe Thomas as the practicing performer in their various ensembles or projects. For his first grand stage to present a set of his own creation he will be relying on a clowder of seasoned cats to hold his dense harmonic compositions: this 3rd MAMA JAZ Grand Concert is a definite confirmation of how vibrant the modern creative music scene is in Mauritius; Samuel Laval will now shine openly for the world!
